This splendid venue, a game and cattle farm situated in the escarpment region west of the Loskop Dam, is about 130 km from Pretoria & 150 km from Johannesburg.
The landscape consists of bushveld plains where there is a good chance of viewing abundant game, surrounded by grassy ridges affording splendid views of the plains extending towards the Loskop Dam.
The variety of carefully planned & meticulously created trails reward hikers with the very best of what the beautiful landscape has to offer.
Trails
Indigenous forest, beautiful kloofs with rock pools and cascades, shoe string waterfalls and the rooi kranses are the main features on trails. Supporting ladders, board walks and hand railings on trails.
Rooikrans has 3 circle hiking trails. All of these hiking trails take you up in a kloof with amazing views from the top. When rains were good you will see beautiful waterfalls.

Experience lovely bushveld evenings around the camp fire and do some star gazing.
You are welcome to bring your mountain bike and cycle the farm roads. Just remember it is very rough and rugged.
We also do the occasional rustic bushveld weddings. Menu’s like braaivleis and potjiekos and a real “boere opskop”. The prices are very decent.
